About FIRST
FIRST (For Inspiration and Recognition of Science and Technology) is an organization founded by inventor Dean Kamen in order to get students involved in engineering and technology. FIRST puts on the FIRST Robotics Competition (FRC), which our team competes in.
The FIRST Robotics Competition (FRC) is the only competition that places highschool students side-by-side with industry professionals to work towards a common goal. This unique interaction aids students in developing a wide variety of technical and non-technical skills. This year the Fighting Calculators aim to improve on our Runner-up and Highest Rookie Seed awards from last year when we attend the first annual Minneapolis Regional competition.
